Food for Health–Rhymes–Poppy Seeds-197/365
Harmonizing health & biodiversity, our melodic food for health rhymes initiative can ignite kids’ love for diverse foods in a fun and engaging way.
Recognizing that children’s limited diet impacts their health and the planet’s biodiversity, we propose to foster a love for diverse foods through the universal language of music. We created nursery rhymes, each featuring a different food item, set to familiar tunes. We hope these rhymes will not only educate children about the nutritional benefits of various foods but also stimulate demand for diverse crops, ultimately contributing to biodiversity.
This initiative promises a fun, engaging way to cultivate healthier habits in children while safeguarding our planet.
Poppy Seeds: Tiny and light, a delicate bite, adding crunch that’s just right!
Tune: “London Bridge Is Falling Down”
🎵Poppy seeds, so tiny and bright,
In the kitchen, pure delight.
Sprinkle them on dough or cake,
Tasty treats we love to make.🎵
🎵Full of goodness, full of cheer,
They help our tummies feel so clear.
Calcium, fiber, iron too,
Helping us grow strong and true.🎵
🎵On your bread or in a roll,
Poppy seeds can make you whole.
Tiny seeds that pack a punch,
Perfect in your snack or lunch.🎵
🎵Healthy bites with every chew,
Poppy seeds are good for you!
In every meal, they find their way,
Making us feel great each day.🎵
