Recognizing that children’s limited diet impacts both their health and the planet’s biodiversity, we propose to foster a love for diverse foods through the universal language of music. We created nursery rhymes each featuring a different food item, set to familiar tunes. We hope these rhymes will not only educate children about the nutritional benefits of various foods but also stimulate demand for diverse crops, ultimately contributing to biodiversity.

This initiative promises a fun, engaging way to cultivate healthier habits in children while safeguarding our planet.

Quinoa: Little seeds, big power, making you strong, hour by hour!

Tune: “Mary Had a Little Lamb”

🎵 Quinoa, small and neat,

Nutrient powerhouse, can’t be beat.

In salads and soups, a yummy treat.

Its nutty taste is oh, so sweet.

🎵 Packed with protein and fiber galore,

Quinoa helps your energy soar.

For weight loss and a healthy heart,

Eat this grain — it’s super smart.

🎵 Gluten-free, and iron it brings.

Quinoa’s nutrition truly sings.

In salads and stews, it’s a king.

Healthy eating, it will bring.

🎵 Energy source, antioxidants abound.

Quinoa makes your health renowned.

With every bite, its benefits abound.

A superfood, with nutrition crowned.
