Harmonizing health & biodiversity, our melodic food for health rhymes initiative can ignite kid’s love for diverse foods in a fun and engaging way

Recognizing that children’s limited diet impacts both their health and the planet’s biodiversity, we propose to foster a love for diverse foods through the universal language of music. We created nursery rhymes each featuring a different food item, set to familiar tunes. We hope these rhymes will not only educate children about the nutritional benefits of various foods but also stimulate demand for diverse crops, ultimately contributing to biodiversity.

This initiative promises a fun, engaging way to cultivate healthier habits in children while safeguarding our planet.

Teff: Tiny grains, mighty kicks, a superhero in your breakfast mix!

Tune: “Mary Had a Little Lamb”

🎵 Teff, tiny grain, that’s clear to see.

A superfood for you and me.

In bread or porridge, it’s a treat.

Nutrition-packed, it can’t be beat.

🎵 Protein, fiber, it’s all in there.

Teff is good, beyond compare.

Digestion, bones, it does enhance,

Gives your health the greatest chance.

🎵 Gluten-free, and iron-rich, too,

Teff is great for me and you.

In bread or stew, it’s truly grand.

Nutrients that our bodies demand.

🎵 Calcium, antioxidants bright,

Teff supports your health just right.

Enjoy its goodness, day and night,

For a healthy, happy, pure delight. 🎵
