“You are talking about Ambedkar without real understanding about him?” Markandeya Sharma exclaimed, his voice resonating loudly and filled with fury. With his statement, the discussions that had been taking place in the hall, dispersed among various groups at different levels, suddenly came to a screeching halt, akin to a bus abruptly stopping in its tracks. The Ambedkar he refers to is Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, one of the leaders of India, believed to be a champion of lower castes.

As the room fell into an uneasy silence, Markandeya continued with his fiery discourse, revealing the depth of his frustration and the passion that had driven him to this unexpected outburst.

It’s not surprising that it’s snowing on Diwali in the New York weather, where the snow blankets the outside on this auspicious day. What’s truly heartwarming is that despite the snowfall, all the people…
